October 24th & 25th: Pond Creature Observation Day - "Let's take a look around Shinobazu Pond"

We will be moving Sumatran Tiger "Resta" (Added on 10/16: Information about future exhibits has been added)

On October 26th, two Shoebill will be moved to a non-public facility (Updated 10/15: The planned date for the move has been decided).

We transported Crested Stintillans, Crested Partridges, Black-and-white Lapwings, and Yellow-breasted Starlings to Sapporo Maruyama Zoo.

We will be holding an event related to "World Lemur Day".

From October 9th to 12th, the zoo will be open until 8 PM for "Autumn Night Zoo"! (Updated October 8th: Limited menu items added)

Events during Tokyo Cultural Heritage Week

The Fall 2026 issue of the magazine "Animals and Zoos" is now available!

Changes to the viewing procedures for the former Kan'ei-ji Temple Five-storied Pagoda within Ueno Zoo.

Report on the implementation status of the "Global Environmental Conservation Action Strategy" for FY2025 and revision of the action plan.

We will be moving the Crested Partridge, Green-winged Macaw, and Nile Plover to Kakegawa Flower and Bird Park.

We will move White-mantled Black Colobus to Tanganyika Wildlife Park.
