From July 7th until further notice, access to the area around Five-storied Pagoda will be restricted due to construction, and Japanese Serow exhibit will be suspended. (Updated September 30th: Japanese Serow exhibit resumed)

Due to renovation work around Five-storied Pagoda, access to the area around Five-storied Pagoda will be restricted from Tuesday, July 7, 2026 until further notice. Entry to the construction area is prohibited. Additionally, the exhibition of Japanese Serow, which had been suspended, will resume on Thursday, October 1.

*Similarly, the route around Five-storied Pagoda pagoda from outside the park (on the side of the approach to Ueno Toshogu Shrine) is also off-limits.
