Pacific Bluefin Tuna

Pacific Bluefin Tuna

This is a large species of tuna that can grow up to 3 meters in length. It lives a life of continuous swimming in the open ocean, mainly migrating through the temperate to tropical regions of the Pacific Ocean in the Northern Hemisphere.
Tufted Puffin

Tufted Puffin

Outside of the breeding season, this bird lives in the sea and can both fly in the sky and swim through the sea. It sometimes visits the islands of Hokkaido to breed.
Shuttles Hoppfish

Shuttles Hoppfish

This fish lives in muddy tidal flats. Its body color closely resembles the mud, and it moves skillfully across the mud using its pectoral fins. Although it is a fish, it rarely enters the water.
Striped Boarfish

Striped Boarfish

This fish is beautiful with the contrast between its black stripes and bright yellow fins. Its mouth protrudes forward like the nose of a tengu (a mythical Japanese creature), and it has many short whiskers growing on the underside of its chin.

Southern Rockhopper Penguin

Most penguins walk by swaying their bodies from side to side, but they hop and jump with both feet together. Outside of the breeding season, they live in the ocean, and during the breeding season, they build colonies and nest on islands around Antarctica.

These are a type of sea anemone that lives on rocky shores in warm seas. In shallow waters bathed in sunlight, they form colonies of tens, sometimes hundreds, of them, resembling a flower garden.

Manybar Goatfish

Its name comes from the pair of barbels on its lower jaw, which it uses to probe the seabed in search of shrimp, worms and other creatures hiding in the sand to eat.
Scalloped Hammerhead

Scalloped Hammerhead

They have a unique hammer-shaped head and are also known as "hammerheads." They sometimes live in schools of several hundred.
Japanese Newt

Japanese Newt

They live near water, such as in rice paddies and streams. Newts and geckos are often mistaken for each other, but newts are amphibians, like frogs, and lay their eggs in water.
