At Tokyo Sea Life Park, Southern Rockhopper Penguin and King Penguin will be moved to air-conditioned rooms for breeding and to escape the summer heat.

These two species of penguins, which live on islands with cool climates near Antarctica, find Tokyo's hot summers difficult to endure, so they are kept in air-conditioned rooms to escape the heat while also breeding.

You can also see the condition of the air-conditioned room on a monitor located in the "Penguin Ecology" area.

The next time Southern Rockhopper Penguin and King Penguin will be on display in the outdoor enclosure is scheduled for the cooler autumn months (※They may be temporarily moved from the air-conditioned room to the outdoor enclosure for health management purposes).
