Kindergartens and nursery schools
I want to know more about guinea pigs
While observing guinea pigs up close, children will learn about food and feces. This program will help children develop the joy of observing animals and a sense of compassion for them.
Target: Kindergarten and nursery school children in the middle and senior years
Number of participants: Maximum 48 people

This is a set of A3-sized panels for teachers to use when explaining animals. The front side has questions to help students look closely at the animals, and the back side has fun, easy-to-understand explanations. There are also moving parts, so you can understand the animals through your own experience.
Target age: Preschool to 4th grade

This is a set of quiz sheets and stamps for observing animals in group activities.

Animal Lost Items
You will be able to touch and feel specimens of animals (porcupines, Domestic Horse, Ural Owl, etc.) such as droppings, hair, and feathers. This program will help you discover the wonders of animals and spark your interest in them.
Target: 1st and 2nd grade elementary school students

Location: Children's Zoo STEP
Quiz rally with answers and explanations
After observing the animals according to the quiz questions, staff will provide a brief explanation of the answers. There are two courses: East Garden course (wide) and West Garden course (narrow).
Target: 1st and 2nd grade elementary school students

Interesting Discovery! Quiz Rally
This is a themed observational learning program. After observing animals in a quiz format, staff will provide explanations of the answers.
Target: 3rd to 6th grade elementary school students
Capacity: Up to approximately 120 people

Online classes (elementary school)
We will conduct online lessons connecting the zoo and classrooms, with themes tailored to each grade level. Since students will learn how to observe animals, these lessons are very effective as preparatory learning for field trips (excursions).

"Animal Feet" Observation and Lecture
Observe the variations in foot shapes that suit each animal's lifestyle. This will help you learn about adaptation to the environment and lifestyle, as well as evolution through diversity and commonality.

Pre-learning and observing endangered species
After doing some preliminary research, you will visit the zoo and observe one endangered animal species together with the staff.

Observe the animals kept at Tokyo Metropolitan Zoos and Aquariums, explore any mysteries or interesting phenomena you notice, and compile your findings into a research report to submit to us.

Accepting trainees
In addition to fostering general career and work ethics among university students and other students, and providing hands-on specialized education, lectures and hands-on training will be held with the aim of deepening students' understanding of Ueno Zoo 's business activities and their social significance.

Online teaching materials that can be used in school education
We have put together a collection of teaching materials aimed at school teachers that will be useful when using zoos and aquariums for learning and when making use of the learning resources at zoos and aquariums. These include a "Collection of Videos to Use in Lessons" that introduces the exhibits and creatures at zoos and aquariums based on a textbook-like perspective, a "Collection of Teaching Materials to Make Lessons Fun" package of teaching materials that combines a variety of videos, images, PDF documents, etc., and various leaflets.
