Pre-learning and observing endangered species

After completing a worksheet at school to learn about one endangered animal species, the students will then visit the zoo to observe the animal closely. Zoo staff will be present to give them advice on how to observe.

Pre-learning

Each student will fill out one pre-learning worksheet.
Please fax all the documents to the zoo at least 10 days before your visit.

Before submitting, your teacher will check that your research has been done properly and provide guidance as necessary (if the content is insufficient, you will be asked to resubmit).

Zoo observations

You will spend about 20 minutes observing the animals you have learned about in advance with the staff.

A teacher must accompany the students and guide them.

This is a program to learn about animals. We will not accept questions about occupations, etc.

How to apply (by phone and fax)

All procedures must be completed by the teacher in charge on the day. We cannot act as an intermediary or respond to any inquiries from travel agencies.

1. First, please contact us by phone at least one month before the desired date to discuss the date and time (tentative reservation).

Please choose your desired time from slots 1 to 4 above (approximately 20 minutes each).
Please note that slots 3 and 4 from July to September will only be for Asian Elephant and Rock Ptarmigan.

2. Please send the application form to the Education and Public Relations Section (Explanation Team) (your reservation will be confirmed).

Please fax it to the number listed in the advance document within three days.

Please prepare according to the advance materials by the day of the event.
