Pre-learning and observing endangered species

Students will first learn about one endangered animal species at school using a worksheet, and then they will carefully observe that animal at the zoo. Zoo staff will be present to provide advice on observation.

Pre-learning

Each student will complete one pre-learning worksheet.
Please send all of your information to the zoo by fax at least 10 days before your visit.

Before submitting, your teacher will check that your research has been done properly and provide guidance as necessary (if the content is insufficient, you will be asked to resubmit).

Zoo observations

You will spend about 20 minutes observing the animals you have learned about in advance with the staff.

A teacher must always accompany the students and provide guidance and instruction.

This is a program to learn about animals. We will not accept questions about occupations, etc.

How to apply (by phone and fax)

All procedures must be completed by the teacher in charge on the day. We cannot act as an intermediary or respond to any inquiries from travel agencies.

1. First, please contact us by phone to discuss the date and time of your appointment at least one month before your desired date (tentative booking).

Please choose your preferred time slot from the above options 1-4. (Each slot is approximately 20 minutes long.)
Please note that for Polar Bear, reservations are only accepted at (1) 10:10 AM from May to October.

2. Please send the application form to the Education and Outreach Section (Explanation Team) (Reservation confirmed).

Please fax it to the number listed in the advance materials within three days.

Please prepare according to the advance materials by the day of the event.
