Ueno Zoo Reference Room

The archives room in the management office of Ueno Zoo collects books and magazines from Japan and abroad about animals, zoos, and aquariums.

The library's collection can be viewed on the second floor of the administrative office located in West Garden Ueno Zoo. Viewing requires prior reservation.

Direct access from Ueno Zoo is not possible. Except for reference books and new arrivals, materials are kept in closed stacks, so please inform the staff of your desired books when making a reservation. Please note that we do not lend out materials.
