Giant Panda Viewing Passage at "Panda Forest" will be open from February 10th to March 1st.

"Panda Forest" is a facility that opened in September 2020. Based on the concept of "For a future where we coexist with pandas," the facility is designed to make learning fun, with panels explaining the ecology of Giant Panda that live in China and replicas of Giant Panda footprints and droppings.
The area also houses Red Panda and Golden Pheasant, which live in the same habitat as Giant Panda, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of the forest where the pandas live.
The two Giant Panda were returned to China on January 28, 2026, and the zoo is no longer raising Giant Panda, but you can still take a leisurely stroll around the area and see the various innovations that have been made.

In addition, the "Panel Exhibition: Thank You Xiaoxiao & Lei Lei - The Story of Ueno's First Twins" as part of the "Thank You Xiaoxiao & Lei Lei" project announced here has been extended and will run until Sunday, March 1st.
