The name Xiaoxiao means "the light of dawn shines through and things become bright," and the name Leilei means "a beautiful flower blooms from a bud, connecting to the future."
As Xiaoxiao and Leilei are being returned to China, we hope that the two will continue their lives there and become buds of hope for the future of Giant Panda. We also want to express our gratitude for all the things they have taught us so far, and we will be holding a farewell event with everyone called "Buds of the Future Blooming at Dawn - Thank You Xiaoxiao & Leilei."
