Previously, the owls were displayed in Bird House, but due to reconstruction work related to the aging of the facility, they have been on display in East Garden Ural Owl House since May 2025. The owls are scheduled to be on display at Ueno Zoo until September 27, 2026 (Sunday).
With this transfer, the keeping of Oriental Scops Owls at Ueno Zoo will come to an end.
