Ueno Zoo The National Museum of Nature and Science (NMNS), the National Museum of Nature and Science (NMNS), and the Tokyo National Museum (TNM) hold the "Ueno Mountain Animal Tour" with researchers from Ueno Zoo, Animal Guide, and the National Museum of Nature and Science (NMNS), and the Tokyo National Museum, in honor of "International Museum Day" on May 18 every year. This year, the tour will be held on Sunday, May 17, the day before the International Museum Day.

The theme for 2026 is "Bacu". Ueno Zoo Let's look at "Bacu" from various perspectives with specialists from the National Museum of Nature and Science and the Tokyo National Museum!

*The disbanding location is planned to be the Tokyo National Museum.
(We will not be visiting the National Museum of Nature and Science this time.)

The content is primarily aimed at 5th and 6th graders, middle school students, and high school students, but anyone is welcome to participate.
*If there are many applicants, priority will be given to 5th and 6th graders, junior high school students, and high school students in the lottery.
*Elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian, while junior high school students and older may participate alone.

◎The Tokyo National Museum is holding a special exhibition related to this project, "A Tapir Tour at the Museum," a gallery for parents and children, in Room 4 of the main building from Tuesday, May 12th to Sunday, June 21st, 2026. For more details, please visit the Tokyo National Museum website.
