As environmental problems such as habitat loss and ecosystem changes become more serious, many wildlife species are facing critical situations. We must recognize anew that the organisms on Earth are connected and support each other while maintaining their diversity, and continue to make efforts to conserve wildlife.

Tokyo Zoological Park Society established the Tokyo Zoological Park Society Wildlife Conservation Fund to further one of its founding aims, "Contributing to the coexistence of humans and animals." Since fiscal 2012, the fund has been providing grants to zoos and aquariums, with the aim of supporting activities that proactively promote wildlife conservation.

This grant program aims to promote wildlife conservation activities by various entities both in Japan and overseas and to communicate their value to as many people as possible. In fiscal 2026, we are accepting applications for approximately seven general categories, five junior and senior high school categories, and one "Tokyo Zoological Park Society Conservation Partner Category," in which applicants will partner with the association to engage in continuous conservation activities for three years based on a theme set by the association in order to further promote the association's conservation activities for rare species.
