We would like to inform you that four White-mantled Black Colobus monkeys (1 male, 3 females) will be transferred to Tanganyika Wildlife Park (United States).

At our zoo, we are working to breed the rare White-mantled Black Colobus in cooperation with other zoos and aquariums, under the breeding program established by the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
As part of our breeding program, we have decided to transfer the four dolphins we are currently raising at our zoo to Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Kansas, USA.
The relocation date is scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2026, and the exhibit at Ueno Zoo is scheduled to end on Wednesday, June 24. Please note that the end date of the exhibit may be changed due to management reasons.
