Regarding your visit during Golden Week

If you plan to visit the park during the Golden Week period from May 2nd (Sat) to May 6th (Wed), 2026, please check the following information beforehand.

Regarding days with extended opening hours

From Saturday, May 2nd to Tuesday, May 5th, the park will extend its opening hours by one hour, staying open until 6 PM (admission and ticket sales will end at 5 PM).

*Please note that on Wednesday, May 6th, the park will be open until 5 PM as usual (admission and ticket sales will end at 4 PM).

Free admission days

May 4th (Monday) Greenery Day

*Please note that the park will be especially crowded on free admission days.

Free for junior high school students and younger.

May 5th (Tuesday) Children's Day

*On regular opening days, admission is free for elementary school students and younger, and for junior high school students who live or attend school in Tokyo.

Regarding viewing, etc.

Please be considerate of others when viewing the exhibits in the exhibition area.
In addition to the exhibition areas, restrooms, nursing rooms, and restaurants tend to get particularly crowded, so we recommend checking their locations in advance using a park map or similar resource.

Please enjoy the show while staying hydrated in designated eating and drinking areas and taking breaks as needed.

About parking

Our park does not have a parking lot. Nearby parking lots become extremely crowded during Golden Week. Please use public transportation whenever possible.

Animals whose public viewing will be suspended during Golden Week

For health management purposes, the following animals will not be on public display on the dates listed below.

-Pygmy Hippopotamus family (currently in public training): April 29th (Wed, public holiday) - May 6th (Wed, public holiday)

Programs that will not be held during Golden Week

For safety reasons, the following programs will be canceled on the dates listed below.

• Volunteer-led animal demonstration: May 2nd (Sat) - May 6th (Wed/Public Holiday)
• Guided animal tours by staff: May 2nd (Sat) - May 6th (Wed/Holiday)
• Public experience program: Befriending guinea pigs (weekdays only): May 2nd (Sat) - May 6th (Wed/Holiday)
• A room for children and their guardians to enjoy picture books and coloring (Saturdays and Sundays only): May 2nd (Sat), May 3rd (Sun)
