On November 3rd, 2026 (Tuesday, national holiday), the Tokyo Zoo Volunteers' Docent Group will host "animal demonstration Festa 2026 - A Gathering of animal demonstration."
Tokyo Zoo Volunteers is the longest-running zoo volunteer group in Japan, established in 1974. They conduct educational and guidance activities at Ueno Zoo, Tama Zoo, and Inokashira Park Zoo. Within this group, the "Docent Group" conducts educational and outreach activities such as "animal demonstration" who explain animals to visitors.
In "animal demonstration," you can learn about animals in a fun way by observing them, taking on quizzes and bingo games, and listening to explanations using specimens and models.
The "Docent Group" usually offers guided tours of different animals on different days of the week, but the "animal demonstration Festa" is a special opportunity to have guided tours of various animals on the same day. Please be sure to visit many different spots.
