Regarding the reopening of Collared Peccary exhibit

Collared Peccary was moved to a new enclosure next to Pygmy Hippopotamus enclosure on Sunday, July 26th, for facility maintenance. The exhibit was temporarily closed to allow the peccary to adjust to its new environment, but it has settled in and appears to be comfortable, so the exhibit will reopen next to Pygmy Hippopotamus enclosure on Thursday, August 13th.

The new facility is equipped with air conditioning, and in the future, we plan to allow animals to move freely between the indoor (closed to the public) and outdoor exhibits according to the temperature and weather. Therefore, please be aware that you may not be able to see the animals when they are indoors.
