Relax and enjoy the zoo: Dream Night & Evening (Updated 6/3)

"Dream Night at the Zoo" is an international initiative that invites children with disabilities and their families to zoos after closing hours for a fun and memorable experience. It began in 1996 at the Rotterdam Zoo in the Netherlands.

Tokyo Metropolitan Zoos and Aquariums support this initiative, and Ueno Zoo will hold "Relaxing Zoo Dream Night & Evening" on Monday, June 15, 2026, a day the zoo is closed. Please take this opportunity to enjoy the zoo at your leisure.

Entry and exit are only permitted through Main Gate (East Garden) or the Benten Gate (West Garden). Please note that you cannot enter or exit through the Ikenohata Gate (West Garden).

"Social Stories" are reading materials primarily intended to help people with developmental disabilities (especially autism spectrum disorder) learn about Ueno Zoo in advance.

How to participate

No prior registration is required.

Please present the person's disability certificate or beneficiary card at Main Gate (East Garden) or Benten Gate (West Garden).

Admission is free.

Please enter the park with all family members present.

Ueno Zoo does not have a parking lot, so please use nearby parking facilities. Please refrain from parking on public roads.
