"Dream Night at the Zoo" is an international initiative that invites children with disabilities and their families to zoos after closing hours for a fun and memorable experience. It began in 1996 at the Rotterdam Zoo in the Netherlands.

Tokyo Metropolitan Zoos and Aquariums support this initiative, and Ueno Zoo will hold "Relaxing Zoo Dream Night & Evening" on Monday, June 15, 2026, a day the zoo is closed. Please take this opportunity to enjoy the zoo at your leisure.

No prior registration is required.
The event will be held even in rainy weather, but will be canceled in case of severe weather such as typhoons.
If any cancellations or changes are decided, we will announce them on Ueno Zoo official website.

All areas of Ueno Zoo

Entry and exit are only permitted through Main Gate (East Garden) or the Benten Gate (West Garden). Please note that you cannot enter or exit through the Ikenohata Gate (West Garden).

This applies to individuals with a "Physical Disability Certificate," "Intellectual Disability Certificate," "Love Certificate," "Mental Disability Health and Welfare Certificate," "Certificate of Medical Treatment for Specific Chronic Diseases in Children," "Certificate of Service Recipient," and other various benefit certificates, as well as their families.

How to participate

No prior registration is required.
Please present the person's disability certificate or beneficiary card at Main Gate (East Garden) or Benten Gate (West Garden).
Admission is free.
Please enter the park with all family members present.

For details regarding parking for large vehicles, guidance for special vehicles, and discounts for people with disabilities, please inquire at each parking lot.
For those using wheelchairs or stretchers, the Keisei Ueno Station parking lot or the Ueno Chuo-dori underground parking lot are convenient as they are close to the park entrance (Benten Gate).
