We are looking for participants for our "Cicada and Bat Observation Event" on August 1st! (Application deadline: July 11th)

Ueno Zoo Ueno Zoo will be holding a "Cicada and Bat Observation Event" after closing hours to allow visitors to observe and become familiar with wild animals that are close to home.

The area around Shinobazu Pond in the park is an excellent spot for observing wild cicadas and bats. You can observe cicada larvae emerging from their pupae and bats taking flight from dusk into the night sky. It's an experience that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

We are now accepting applications for participants as follows, so please apply.

Content

After listening to a lecture about cicadas and bats, we will observe bats around Shinobazu Pond Pond, listening to the ultrasound they emit using special equipment, and watching cicada larvae emerge from the soil and molt.

This event allows a maximum of four people per group to apply. However, each person may only apply once. Also, even if the representative is different, the same person cannot apply multiple times as a companion.
