Starting July 14, 2026, Southern Tamanduas will be exhibited in the "Small Mammal House" (underground) West Garden.

Three Southern Tamanduas (1 male, 2 females) were previously exhibited in Bird House in East Garden. Due to reconstruction work related to the aging of the facility, the exhibit ended in June 2025, and they have been kept in a non-public area ever since.
We have moved the male to the "Small Mammal House" in West Garden, and will now be exhibiting him there. The female was moved to Kobe Animal Kingdom in November 2025.
