We're starting practice putting triton cockatoo out into the exhibit area (Updated 6/11: Exhibit has begun)

Added on June 11, 2026: The exhibition has begun.

Since the practice sessions for introducing triton cockatoo to the exhibit area went smoothly, we began exhibiting it on Thursday, June 11, 2026, as follows.

Starting Friday, April 17, 2026, we will begin practicing bringing the blue-triton cockatoo out into the enclosure on an irregular basis. The location is next to the Pygmy Hippopotamus enclosure West Garden.

The blue-triton cockatoo was previously on display in Bird House. Due to the rebuilding of Bird House because of its aging facilities, the exhibit was closed in June 2025, and since then it has been kept in a private facility.

We are currently using a birdcage to help the bird get used to the environment of the exhibit, so please observe quietly.
