We are looking for participants for our 9/19 Origami Workshop: Glowing Origami! Let's Make Zoo Birds! (Application deadline: 9/9)
event
August 23, 2026
From October 9th to 12th, 2026, Ueno Zoo will be open until 8 PM (details regarding the evening hours will be announced later on the official website). During these evening hours, we plan to display and illuminate origami in the shape of animals. In this workshop, we will all make the origami that will be displayed during the evening hours. Please apply!
Using a large, transparent sheet that folds like paper, you will create original origami pieces under the guidance of an origami artist. In the morning session, you will fold a "penguin," and in the afternoon session, you will fold a "Shoebill." Each participant will make two origami creations, one of which will be displayed during the evening hours (you can take the other home with you).
