Learning and Experience

The greatest appeal of a zoo is undoubtedly the opportunity for anyone to easily observe animals in their natural habitat. A moving encounter with an animal can be a catalyst for becoming familiar with them, learning more about them, and reflecting on the importance of nature that nurtured them. Learning at a zoo can also be a crucial foundation for considering and acting upon the future of humans, animals, and nature. We offer a variety of educational programs and materials to ensure that everyone can learn in a fun way, deepen their understanding of nature and animals, and consider their future. Please come and visit us!

Conservation/Research

Tokyo Metropolitan Zoos and Aquariums are systematically implementing conservation activities using a multifaceted approach to protect rare species, and are promoting efforts to pass on the rich natural environment to the future.

Support and donations

We will introduce our donation system that supports the Tokyo Metropolitan Zoo and conservation activities for rare species, our membership system for learning about animals, our collaboration with volunteers, and our in-zoo advertising business.
