School and group programs
Inokashira Park Zoo offers the following programs for schools. Please check the information for each program before applying. In addition, please use the educational guidebook provided for accompanying teachers to learn about the park's highlights and educational programs.
Guinea Pig Program
There are two books available: "Hello Guinea Pig" for kindergarten/preschool senior classes and "Guinea Pig Discovery!" for first and second graders.
Kindergarten/nursery school 5-year-old/senior class, elementary school 1st and 2nd grade
Animal Observation Program
We offer a variety of programs, including animal observation, where you can take a close look at animals and make your own discoveries, and themed learning that combines observation with lectures.
All organizations
Online Program
We will present information tailored to the learning objectives and age group, using videos of animals and live broadcasts. This is also effective as pre-visit learning before coming to the park.
School groups (including kindergartens and daycare centers)
Career education support
We offer a "workplace visit" where you can talk with our educational outreach staff, and a "workplace experience" where you can experience the work of our nursery through a 2-3 day program.
Junior high and high school students
Report Challenge for Junior and Senior High School Students
Observe living creatures, explore the mysteries and interests you find, and compile your findings into a research report to submit to us.

We accept students for zoo internships and museum (curator) internships.

Zoo and aquarium courses that can be used in the classroom
We will hold lectures on topics such as how to observe living things, information about animals, and nature experiences that will be useful in conducting classes.

Online teaching materials that can be used in school education
We have put together a collection of teaching materials aimed at school teachers that will be useful when using zoos and aquariums for learning and when making use of the learning resources at zoos and aquariums. These include a "Collection of Videos to Use in Lessons" that introduces the exhibits and creatures at zoos and aquariums based on a textbook-like perspective, a "Collection of Teaching Materials to Make Lessons Fun" package of teaching materials that combines a variety of videos, images, PDF documents, etc., and various leaflets.
