Animal Observation Program
We offer a variety of programs, including animal observation, where you can take a close look at animals and make your own discoveries, themed learning that combines observation with lectures, and hands-on learning that allows you to observe familiar creatures. We also offer consultations on creating individual learning programs based on the purpose of your visit. While we often offer the following programs, we can also arrange other programs with prior consultation. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
Take on the animal quiz!
Children can tour at their own pace in groups
Together with the children and teachers, you will observe the animals using quizzes (for about an hour). Afterwards, staff will explain in an easy-to-understand way (for about 30 minutes) the secrets of the animals, asking, "Why are they shaped like that?"

Original learning programs with themes
It is necessary to consider whether the purpose of your visit matches the exhibits. If you consult with us in advance, we may be able to provide you with various information, specimens, and other information to better suit your purpose. If you visit the zoo multiple times and follow the same animals for a year, you can also study the seasonal changes of animals that are difficult to encounter in the wild.
Program Example
・Learning how animals eat
・Exploring Inokashira Pond ・Investigating nearby waterside areas
・Learning about familiar creatures
・Research into animals visiting the zoo regularly
teaching materials
We have a variety of educational materials available to suit different ages and goals, including quizzes and bingo that will give you perspective on viewing animals on the day of your visit.
Application and consultation
We accept applications directly from teachers of each organization. We do not accept applications or inquiries through third parties such as travel agencies.
Please apply by phone or email after your park admission reservation is confirmed. If the guide is unavailable, please provide your contact information to another staff member, and we will get back to you. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your request for an animal guide on days when there are many applications.
All services, including tours, consultations, animal explanations, and provision of materials and information, are provided free of charge. There are no restrictions on the types of organizations we serve, including kindergartens, daycare centers, elementary, middle, and high schools, universities, vocational schools, and other general organizations.
