Access

The park is divided into a zoo and an aquatic park.

Inokashira Park Zoo is located within Inokashira Park.
Inokashira Park Zoo is located within Inokashira Park and is divided into a zoo (main park) and an aquatic park (branch park).
To travel between the two parks, you will need to exit the park and walk along public roads and within Inokashira Park.
The zoo and aquatic park are about a 5-minute walk away.
After 4:00 PM, it will be impossible to enter the Aquatic Park from the Zoo, or vice versa.
The Bunkaen has three entrances and exits, but the animal exhibits and facilities are different at each entrance, so we will guide you through them on this page.

Those with free admission, those with annual passes, and those who have already purchased tickets in advance, including online tickets, should proceed to the ticket gate without lining up at the ticket counter.

Admission tickets purchased at our admission ticket counter do not have an expiration date.
If you do not enter the park on the day of purchase, you can use the ticket at a later date. There are two locations on your admission ticket where the ticket gate staff will stamp your admission ticket indicating you have entered the park: the zoo and the aquatic park.
If you have not entered either park and do not receive a stamp, you can enter the zoo or aquatic park that you have not visited at a later date.
However, admission tickets that have been severely damaged and are no longer legible cannot be used.

Annual passes are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Online tickets can only be used on the specified date.

: About 10 minutes walk from the Park Exit (South Exit) of Kichijoji Station on the JR Chuo Line, Sobu Line, and Keio Inokashira Line

bus

: Departing from Kichijoji Station (Koen Exit) (Odakyu Bus)
Get on at the Kichijoji Station bus stop and get off at the second stop, Bunkakuen-mae
To Kichijoji Station (Odakyu Bus)
Get off at "Bunkaen-mae" station, the stop after "Mansukebashi"

On weekdays and Saturdays, the bus does not stop at Bunkakuen-mae between 7:00 and 9:00 and between 16:00 and 18:00. Please get off at Bansukebashi (approximately a 5-minute walk).

By car

There is no parking lot at Inokashira Park Zoo. Please use the private parking lots in the surrounding area.
The parking lot gets very crowded on weekends and holidays.

Route guidance

: If coming from Chofu Interchange
Exit at Chofu Interchange and take Koshu Kaido (National Route 20) towards Shinjuku →
Turn left at the first traffic light, "Shimoishihara Police Box Intersection," and go straight for about 3.5 km.
Turn right at the Tohachi Road "Nozaki Hachimanmae intersection" →
Turn left at the Kyorin University Hospital North Intersection 2km ahead
Arrive at Inokashira Park Zoo after approximately 2.5km

If you are using a bicycle

There are bicycle parking areas in Main Gate and next to the Bentenmon Gate.

The bicycle parking lot is available only to visitors to the park during opening hours.

There is a limited number of bicycle parking spaces.
The parking lot next to Bentenmon Gate can accommodate approximately 10 bicycles. If the lot is full, please use the bicycle parking lot in front of Main Gate.

Please use public transportation as much as possible.
