After practicing gentle handling with a stuffed guinea pig so that even first-time children can feel at ease, children will work in pairs to handle a real guinea pig.
Take a good look at the guinea pigs and find out what's interesting and wonderful about them together with the staff.

After listening to a lecture on how to handle them gently, participants will work in pairs to touch the guinea pigs. While getting to know them, they will also be able to observe them closely from up close. They will learn about the structure of guinea pigs' bodies and the relationship between their shape and their lifestyle.

*Reservation deadline is the 20th of the previous month.

*Reservation deadline for April 2025 is one week in advance.

 

Example: If you are participating on May 15th, the deadline is April 20th

If you are participating on November 1st, the deadline is October 20th

How to make a reservation

Please make your reservation through the reservation website below (external site).

First come, first served.
For detailed reservation instructions, please see the online reservation manual (PDF).
Once you have completed your online application, a reservation confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.
Please be sure to check the application date and time, the procedure on the day, and how to cancel, etc.
The nursery will adjust staff attendance to accommodate this.
If you are unable to attend for any reason, please be sure to cancel your reservation.

Things to check (please read)

This program is aimed at groups led by teachers or nursery teachers as part of a regular school or nursery school field trip.
Each group may only use the facility once per year. A single group may not use the facility on multiple days within the same fiscal year.
It is possible as long as the class and grade are different.
If you apply for multiple days, all reservations except the first one will be invalid (you cannot reserve additional days).
If the number of participants exceeds the capacity by a few people, please fill in the comments section when making a reservation. We may decline your request depending on the situation.
In principle, parents are not allowed to enter. If you need to be accompanied by a guardian for some reason, please write this in the comments section.
The event may be postponed due to animal health management or other reasons.
We do not provide English support.
