Notice of repair work on the exterior wall of Sculpture Museum A and the tiles in front of the Sculpture Museum from January 27th to early March
news
Updated on February 27, 2026
Inokashira Park Zoo will be carrying out exterior wall repair work on Sculpture Museum A. Due to the construction, scaffolding will be erected around Hall A and a fence will be erected. During the period the fence is in place, the main entrance in the center of Hall A will be closed. Please use the left door (manual) and the right door (automatic) to enter and exit the building.
*This does not affect your ability to view the artworks inside the museum, such as the plaster prototype of the Peace Memorial Statue.
Due to the enclosure, it will be difficult to view the two works, "Urashima - Dance of Longevity" and "Urashima - Treasure Box," which are displayed at the main entrance of the building (you can view them from behind through the glass from inside the building. You can also see the plaster prototype of "Urashima - Dance of Longevity" in the atelier building).
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our visitors, and we appreciate your understanding.
Period: From January 27, 2026 (Tuesday) to early March 2, 2026 (Monday) (tentative)
*This may change depending on the progress of the renovation work.
Additionally, starting Tuesday, January 13th, we will be repairing the paving tiles in the plaza in Sculpture Museum. The work area will be cordoned off with cones, and we will be proceeding with the work in sections, so we kindly ask that you avoid passing through that area.
