November 15th: Exploring Familiar Creatures - "Traveling Seeds: How Do They Go and Where?" Participants Wanted (Application Deadline: November 1st)
event
October 9, 2026
At Inokashira Park Zoo, we offer "Exploring Local Creatures," where you can search for wild animals in the park with experts and staff and discover their fascinating aspects. This time, we are holding "Traveling Seeds: How and Where Do They Go?", a workshop for elementary school students and their guardians focusing on plant fruits and seeds.
As autumn arrives and the harvest season begins, numerous plants in the garden bear fruits and seeds of various colors and shapes. Plants cannot move from their current location on their own. Instead, they perpetuate life by releasing seeds into the world. What exactly is this journey of seeds? Let's observe fruits and seeds, and then experiment by making models.
