news
July 23, 2026
Three Amur Leopard Cat cat cubs were born on April 28, 2026, but their mother, "Mire," died after giving birth, so they were raised by hand. We are pleased to announce that the cubs' public debut date and names have now been decided.
Regarding the release date
It will be released on Saturday, July 25, 2026.
Opening time
9:30am - 5pm
Exhibition location
Zoo (main area) - Wildcat enclosure glass exhibit (on the monkey mountain side)
How to view
For the time being, viewing will be one-way, with entry from the monkey mountain side and exit from the lawn area side.
*Depending on the animals' health and the weather, they may be allowed to move freely between indoor and outdoor areas, or the exhibit may be canceled.
*Please refrain from using flash photography so as not to startle the animals.
*Due to limited space, please be considerate of others while viewing the exhibits. Also, during crowded times, please refrain from staying in the same spot for extended periods or taking photos for extended periods.
*Please take sufficient precautions against heatstroke when visiting the park.
(Please take precautions such as wearing a hat, staying hydrated and replenishing electrolytes, and taking breaks in cool places from time to time.)
Regarding naming
The offspring were one male and two females.
Since the father, "Tari," and mother, "Mire," were donated by "Seoul Grand Park" in Seoul, South Korea, which has a sister city relationship with Tokyo, the male was named "Homare" and Inokashira Park Zoo and Seoul Grand Park, connecting to the future.
