A new form of fun, the "Shoebill Cart," has debuted! (Updated 7/10: Operating hours will be extended)

Ueno Zoo will extend the operating hours of its new "Shoebill Cart" by one hour starting July 11, 2026 (Saturday).

The extended hour will be operated as "Hashibiro Cart for Kids," specifically for families with children. For detailed information on operating hours, how to ride, and more, please check the link below.

Ueno Zoo As a new initiative to enhance the attractiveness of the Shoebill, we will begin operating the "Hashibiro Cart," a small electric cart featuring the motif.

The Shoebill Cart seats four people. It is scheduled to operate on a special course in West Garden.

Service schedule and usage instructions

Please note that a numbered ticket obtained through online application (first-come, first-served basis) is required to board. Reservations will be accepted from 12:30 PM on the day of operation.
