Guinea pig and friends

This program allows you to learn about the lives of guinea pigs through fun videos, and then get to know them up close and become friends with them.

Capacity

6 groups per session (up to 3 people per group)
*A maximum of three people per group is allowed, including all participants, including accompanying persons and infants.
*The number of children participating is limited to three.

Age range

3 to 12 years old
*There is no age limit, but the program is aimed at children.
*Children in the third grade or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
*Children under 1 year old are asked to just look at the guinea pigs and not touch them.

Event period

April 21, 2026 (Tuesday) - March 19, 2027 (Friday)
*Excluding April 28th (Tue) to May 1st (Fri) and October 1st (Thu)

How to participate

Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
*Reservations will be accepted from 10:00 on the day of the event.
*Applications will close once the capacity is reached.
*If a cancellation occurs after the deadline, registration will automatically resume at that time.
*We cannot accept waiting lists for cancellations.

Cancelling a reservation

If you cannot arrive by the reception time, please cancel your registration using the URL provided in the "waiting list registration completion email." We appreciate your cooperation so that more people can participate.

10:00-14:20 on the day of the event
*Reservations will close 10 minutes before the start of each session.

How to apply

Please come to the reception desk on the first floor of the Step Pavilion at Children's Zoo STEP during reception hours. At reception, you will be asked to confirm your "reception completion screen" or "waiting list reception completion email." Please come prepared to check it, such as by displaying it on the screen. After reception, you will be guided to the venue (indoors). Please cooperate by disinfecting your hands and the soles of your feet when entering the venue.

Precautions

Participation in the experience program is limited to one per person per day.

Only one reservation per address is accepted.

Each group is limited to a maximum of three people. Chaperones and infants entering the venue will also be counted as one person. Please note that the number of participating children is not limited to three.

Please ensure all participants are present by the start time and gather at Children's Zoo STEP Building.

This does not support the function that sends you a notification email when your turn is approaching.

If you have difficulty using alcohol disinfectant, please bring your own. Also, please inform the staff at the reception desk.

If you have an animal allergy, please refrain from participating in the experience program.

This experience program is not available to nursery schools, kindergartens, schools, or other organizations. Please use the separate program for schools.

Learn more

The experience program may be suspended due to animal health management or other reasons.

Even if a reservation has been accepted, the experience program may be canceled without notice. There will be no compensation or alternative measures in the event of the program being canceled.
