Turtles are often seen in ponds in city parks and are often kept as pets, making them a familiar and approachable reptile even in Tokyo and its suburbs (especially within the 23 wards). However, there are not many opportunities to learn what kind of animals turtles are.

This special exhibition will use specimens and explanatory panels to introduce turtles from various perspectives, including their ecology, morphological characteristics, and cultural aspects.

As a way to spark interest in familiar animals that can be found in people's living spaces, why not start by focusing on turtles?
