The higher the category in each table, the higher the risk of extinction, and CR, EN, and VU are the three categories known as "endangered species." In Tokyo, species that are not at the NT (near threatened) level but are relatively rare are considered "species of concern."

They are a primitive species of monkey that live on the island of Madagascar. Unusually for mammals, males and females have different body colors. Males are entirely black, while females are brown with white fur around their ears. They are active both day and night. They live in groups of 2 to 15 individuals, with females dominating. They give birth to 1 or 2 babies, and raise them for 6 to 7 months until they are weaned, with the female holding them sideways like a belly warmer.
