Aquatic Life House
Located on the banks of Inokashira Pond, this is Japan's oldest aquarium for freshwater creatures. Along with exhibits that recreate the past and present, you can also see rare creatures that were once common in Tokyo but have since become extinct or rapidly decreased in number, such as Tokyo Butterfly Bitterling tanago fish, Japanese Newt, and Diving Beetle beetle. Don't miss Japanese Giant Salamander the world's largest amphibian, and the water Water Spider which creates air bubbles to live underwater.
