We will be holding a lecture to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Wildlife Conservatio Center
event
July 23, 2026
Wildlife Conservatio Center was established in April 2006 as an organization to promote conservation activities at Tokyo Metropolitan Zoos and Aquariums, and this year marks its 20th anniversary. To commemorate this, we will be holding a lecture entitled "Considering Wildlife Conservation - 20 Years of Supporting Conservation at Tokyo Metropolitan Zoos and Aquariums, and Beyond."
In this lecture, we will look back on the progress and achievements of our conservation activities for wildlife such as the Japanese crested Crested Ibis, Oriental stork, and Bonin greenfinch, which we have undertaken through collaboration with various organizations and facilities. We also hope to consider together with you the role that Tokyo Metropolitan Zoos, Aquariums, and Conservation Centers should play in the future.
