luminescent organisms

The ocean is home to a variety of bioluminescent creatures. This section displays bioluminescent organisms such as Splitfin Flashlightfish Sea-firefly and sea pens, and also allows visitors to observe the bioluminescent organs of deep-sea fish through specimens. In our regularly scheduled animal demonstration, staff members will demonstrate how Sea-firefly glow and explain why they do so.
