We will be holding a panel exhibition to commemorate the domestic hosting of the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Conference from May 8th to 26th.

event
May 8, 2026

From May 11th to 21st, 2026, the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM) will be held in Hiroshima Prefecture, marking the first time it has been held in Japan in 32 years.

To commemorate the hosting of the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Conference in Japan, and to encourage more people to take an interest in Antarctica, we will present panels introducing the natural environment of Antarctica, the creatures that live there, and the conservation efforts being undertaken in Japan and around the world.

Additionally, the "Arctic and Antarctic Seas" section at Tokyo Sea Life Park displays Antarctic creatures that staff members actually collected on-site, so please be sure to check that out as well.

Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM)
