Regarding your visit during Golden Week

If you plan to visit the park during the Golden Week period from April 25th (Sat) to May 6th (Wed), 2026, please check the following information beforehand.

Regarding days with extended opening hours

From May 3rd (Sun) to May 5th (Tue), the park will extend its opening hours by one hour, staying open until 6 PM (admission and ticket sales will end at 5 PM). Please note that from April 25th (Sat) to May 2nd (Sat) and on May 6th (Wed), the park will be open as usual until 5 PM (admission and ticket sales will end at 4 PM).

Free admission days

May 4th (Monday) Greenery Day

*Please be aware that the park will be especially crowded on free admission days.

Free for junior high school students and younger.

May 5th (Tuesday) Children's Day

*On regular opening days, admission is free for elementary school students and younger, and for junior high school students who live or attend school in Tokyo.

Regarding admission and viewing

Depending on the crowd situation, you may have to wait a while before entering the park.
Please be considerate of others when viewing the exhibits in the exhibition area.
In addition to the exhibition areas, restrooms, nursing rooms, and restaurants tend to get particularly crowded, so we recommend checking their locations in advance using a park map.
Please enjoy the show while staying hydrated in designated eating and drinking areas and taking breaks as needed.

About parking

Our park does not have a parking lot. Nearby parking lots become extremely crowded during Golden Week. Please use public transportation whenever possible.

Exhibition facilities that will be closed during the Golden Week holiday period

For safety reasons, the following exhibition facilities will be closed on the dates listed below.

・Shiodamari: Closed on May 4th (Monday, public holiday)
- "Bioluminescent Organisms" section: Closed from May 2nd (Sat) to May 6th (Wed).
・ Information Desk: Closed from May 2nd (Sat) to May 6th (Wed)
*A temporary question counter has been set up next to the information counter on the second floor.

*No exhibition facilities will be closed from April 25th (Sat) to May 1st (Fri).

Programs that will be canceled during the Golden Week period

For safety reasons, the following programs will be canceled on the dates listed below.

- "Shiodamari" Interaction Program: Cancelled on May 4th (Monday, public holiday)
- "Sea-firefly" animal demonstration: Cancelled from May 2nd (Sat) to May 6th (Wed).
- "Ikimono Majika" explanatory program: Cancelled from May 2nd (Sat) to 6th (Wed).
- Behind-the-scenes guided tour: Cancelled from May 2nd (Sat) to May 6th (Wed).

*Business will operate as usual from April 25th (Sat) to May 1st (Fri).

*Please note that the event may be canceled or changed due to the animals' health, exhibition arrangements, etc.
