Regarding the escape of Common Wolf (3rd report) *The park will be open as usual from January 2nd

Tama Zoo was temporarily closed due to an animal escape incident that occurred within the zoo on Sunday, December 28, 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to visitors, those planning to visit, and local residents.

It is believed that the escape occurred when the primate jumped over the retaining wall separating the small wolf enclosure, where Przewalski's Horse Common Wolf 's horse enclosure, by climbing over the plants growing along the wall.

The enclosure in question will not be used until measures to prevent escapes are implemented. Other areas at the zoo's breeding and exhibition facilities that pose a risk of escape have also been inspected again, and safety has been confirmed.

Therefore, Tama Zoo will be open as usual from 9:30 a.m. onwards from Friday, January 2, 2026.

Additionally, Common Wolf will be exhibited in the "Wolf House Large Free-Range Area," where the safety of the area has been confirmed after inspections and pruning of the plants.
