Admission is free on October 1st, Tokyo Citizens' Day.

October 1st is "Tokyo Citizens' Day." On this day, admission to Tokyo Metropolitan Zoos and Aquariums (Ueno Zoo, Tama Zoo, Tokyo Sea Life Park, and Inokashira Park Zoo) is free. This is not limited to Tokyo residents. Adults and children alike can enter for free.

Also, October 10th is the anniversary of the opening of Tokyo Sea Life Park. On this day, admission to Tokyo Sea Life Park is free.

Please check the latest information regarding any services or events that are currently suspended, as well as the closing times for animal exhibits and other facilities, before your visit.

Ueno Zoo

- Admission is free on October 1st, 2026 (Thursday), which is Tokyo Citizens' Day.
The park will be closed on the following dates in October: Monday the 5th, Tuesday the 13th, and Monday the 26th.
From October 9th (Sat) to 12th (Mon/Holiday), the zoo will be open at night for "Autumn Night Zoo".

There will be changes to facilities and programs on Thursday, October 1st.

"Shinobazu Lab" is closed (you cannot enter).
• The "Little Animals' Homes" exhibit will be on display from 1 PM.
The "Becoming Friends with Guinea Pigs" experience program has been cancelled.

Tama Zoo

- Admission is free on October 1st, 2026 (Thursday), which is Tokyo Citizens' Day.
The park will be closed on Wednesday, October 7th and Wednesday, October 21st.

There will be changes to facilities and programs on Thursday, October 1st.

- The "Mole's House" exhibit will be closed.
- The "Interaction Corner" at Insectarium Center will be closed.
- "Ask the Guinea Pig Doctor!" will not be held due to the summer break (July 2nd to October 1st).

Tokyo Sea Life Park

- Admission will be free on October 1st (Thursday), Tokyo Citizens' Day, and October 10th (Saturday), the park's anniversary, 2026.
The park will be closed on the following Wednesdays in October: the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.
・From October 10th (Sat) to 12th (Mon/Holiday), we will be holding the "All About MAGURO" event to commemorate the park's opening.

There will be changes to facilities and programs on Thursday, October 1st.

- The "Tide Pool" and "Bioluminescent Creatures" sections will be closed.

Inokashira Park Zoo

- Admission is free on October 1st, 2026 (Thursday), which is Tokyo Citizens' Day.
The park will be closed on the following dates in October: Monday the 5th, Tuesday the 13th, Monday the 19th, and Monday the 26th.

Oshima Park Zoo

Oshima Park Zoo is open all year round and admission is free.
