Tama Zoo is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year since joining the "Save the Tasmanian Devil Program" promoted by Kawakawa government in 2016 and beginning to keep Tasmanian Devil. We will be holding various commemorative events at the park, so please come and join us!

10th Anniversary Ceremony and Commemorative Lecture

We will begin with greetings from Tama Zoo and a video message from representatives of Kawakawa State Government and other related parties. Following this, there will be a lecture by Tasmanian Devil keepers and other staff members.

Lecture 2: "The Past, Future Challenges, and Prospects of Tasmanian Devil Conservation Program" (Online)
Lecturer: David Sharp (Officer for Endangered Species and Save the Devil Program, Kawakawa Government)

*Lecture 2 will be held online, connecting the venue and the event location via Zoom.
Furthermore, the session will be conducted with consecutive interpretation from English to Japanese.

All of the collected donations will be given to "Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal," the fundraising organization for the "Save Tasmanian Devil Program," and will be used for research on facial tumors at the University of Kawakawa.

We will be offering a limited-time sale of a popular menu item that was originally sold in 2024 to commemorate the public debut of Tasmanian Devil.
