We will be holding an event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Tasmanian Devil arrival (Updated 7/1: We will be adding donation boxes and extending the period of the panel exhibition).

Due to the possibility of Typhoons 7 and 8 approaching the Kanto-Koshin region, Tama Zoo will be temporarily closed on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Accordingly, we will be canceling the 10th anniversary ceremony and commemorative lecture. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to those who were planning to attend.

Tama Zoo is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year since joining the "Save the Tasmanian Devil Program" promoted by Kawakawa government in 2016 and beginning to keep Tasmanian Devil. We will be holding various commemorative events at the park, so please come and join us!

10th Anniversary Ceremony and Commemorative Lecture

*Due to the temporary closure of the park in response to the approaching typhoon, the commemorative ceremony and lecture have been cancelled.

We will begin with greetings from Tama Zoo and a video message from representatives of Kawakawa State Government and other related parties. Following this, there will be a lecture by Tasmanian Devil keepers and other staff members.

Lecture 2: "The Past, Future Challenges, and Prospects of Tasmanian Devil Conservation Program" (Online)

*Lecture 2 will be held online, connecting the venue and the event location via Zoom.
Furthermore, the session will be conducted with consecutive interpretation from English to Japanese.

Panel exhibition *Due to popular demand, the exhibition period has been extended.

Panels will introduce the ecology of Tasmanian Devil, its current status in the wild, and conservation efforts in the region.

Workshop: "Let's make a devil headband"

We'll cut out a pattern shaped like Tasmanian Devil 's ears and make a headband.

Donation boxes will be set up. *Additional measures will be taken.

We will be setting up donation boxes to support the "Save the Tasmanian Devil Program."

We will be offering a limited-time sale of a popular menu item that was originally sold in 2024 to commemorate the public debut of Tasmanian Devil.
These devil marshmallows, supervised by animal keeper, feature a perfect balance of refreshing cola, tart blood orange sherbet, and sweet mango. How about enjoying a drink while watching Tasmanian Devil?
