October 4th Observation Program: "Searching for Wildlife in Nanao Park in Autumn!" Participants Wanted (Application Deadline: September 17th)

Tama Zoo will be holding an autumn observation program.

Next to Tama Zoo is Nanao Park, which also belongs to the same Tokyo Metropolitan Tama Hills Natural Park area. The park, covering approximately 7.8 hectares, features woodlands, grasslands, and an artificial pond, and is home to a variety of plants, insects, birds, and mammals. We'll walk through the park, searching for and observing familiar creatures that can be seen in autumn.

Registration will begin at 9:30 AM in front of Main Gate
*After checking in, you will walk for about 10 minutes to the observation site.

Content

After registering at Main Gate of Tama Zoo, we will move to Nanao Park for the observation session. This event will be led by a member of the NPO Tree and Environment Network Association, which manages the woodland area of Nanao Park.

This NPO supports forest creation and nature observation programs with the aim of building a sustainable society. One of its fields of activity is the "Lion Forest" (a non-public area near Lion enclosure) within Tama Zoo and Nanao Park.
