Tama Zoo will be holding its 68th Children's Drawing Contest. We look forward to receiving many entries depicting the animals of Tama Zoo.

Eligibility

Children of elementary school age or younger

How to Apply

① Participants should come to our kindergarten and pick up the drawing paper distributed by the kindergarten at the following location and time.

② Complete your artwork within the park, submit it according to the entry form attached to the back of the drawing paper, and then submit your artwork to the reception desk at Main Gate. Only completed artwork will be accepted.

Precautions

Please use the drawing paper provided by the kindergarten. Drawing boards will be lent out during this period. Please bring your own coloring materials (crayons, paints, colored pencils, etc.).

Each person may submit only one entry. Please note that multiple entries from the same child will be considered invalid.

You cannot take a partially completed piece of work home, finish it there, and submit it at a later date.

Applications with incomplete information will not be considered for selection.

The personal information you provide when applying will only be used to contact you regarding this event.
Furthermore, we will strictly manage personal information, including data storage and deletion.

Selection of winning entries

The winning entries will be selected from among the submitted works through a review process by staff and sponsoring organizations.

Types of awards

The top entries were awarded as follows: 1 Gold Prize (director Award), 3 Silver Prizes (Department Head Awards), 5 Special Prizes (Hino City Mayor's Award, Hino City Chamber of Commerce Award, Keio Electric Railway Award, Keio Store Award, Tama Monorail Award), and 21 Bronze Prizes (Department Awards), for a total of 30 entries.

The illustrations are based on observations of the animals kept at Tama Zoo

Winners will be notified directly by email in November 2026.

Return of artwork

If you wish to have your artwork returned, please choose one of the following two methods when submitting your entry.

1. Please come to the park during the return period (we will hand it over to you at Main Gate).
2. Return the item via cash on delivery during the return period.

Please be aware that if you are unable to pick up your artwork within the above period, we will consider it an abandonment and dispose of it six months after the end of the exhibition (end of June 2027).

While the copyright of submitted works remains with the applicant, winning entries and the names and ages (grades) of the winners may be displayed free of charge on Tama Zoo official website and other platforms as part of the exhibition, as well as for promotional purposes and records of this event.

Additionally, we may use the top winning entries as admission tickets for our park. In that case, we will ask the applicant and their guardian to sign a consent form for any modifications (cropping, brightness adjustments, saturation adjustments, etc.).
