Regarding the reopening of Tasmanian Devil "Papity" exhibit
news
April 22, 2026
Papity, Tasmanian Devil who had been hospitalized at an animal hospital since July 2025 for treatment of a wound on her right flank, experienced delays in wound closure due to self-inflicted injuries. However, her hospitalization and treatment have now concluded, and she returned to Tasmanian Devil enclosure on April 22, 2026.
On the same day, we placed the two together with their sister, "YT," and confirmed that they were getting along without any problems. Therefore, we will resume exhibiting them together from April 23rd.
During the treatment process, the fur on the right side of the abdomen was shaved. Also, because Puppy keeps touching the wound, there are some sores visible. It is expected that it will take some more time for the fur to grow back to its original state.
Thank you for your warm support as Papity recovers. For a while, you can still see the marks from the treatment, but he is doing well, so please enjoy watching the two of them getting along.
