Tama Zoo is recruiting interns for animal care, veterinary clinical training, and museum (curator) training for the 2026 fiscal year (Reiwa 8).
Types and content of practical training
(1) Animal Husbandry Practice
The student will gain practical experience primarily in animal care and exhibition operations at the Animal Care and Exhibition Division and the Insectarium Animal Care and Exhibition Section of the Education and Outreach Division.
(2) Veterinary clinical training
In the animal hospital department, students will gain practical experience primarily in veterinary clinical work.
(3) Museum Internship
In the Education and Outreach Section, you will gain practical experience primarily in education and outreach activities.
*There is no animal care work involved.
Applicants for internships
(1) Animal Husbandry Training: Persons equivalent to those in ① or ②
① Undergraduate students in their second year or higher who are enrolled in a university or graduate school and are majoring in a subject related to animals.
Related fields of study include zoology, veterinary medicine, biology, animal husbandry, science, and agriculture.
② Students in their second year or higher who are enrolled in a vocational school and are majoring in a course related to wildlife.
(2) Veterinary clinical training
Students enrolled in a university or graduate school, majoring in veterinary medicine, in their fourth year or higher.
(3) Museum Internship
Students in their third year or above who are enrolled in a university or graduate school and wish to obtain credits for "Museum Internship" through internship at this park.
Applicants must be able to participate in the entire duration of the internship.
Applicants must have already earned or be expected to earn credits for all curator training courses except for museum internships.

Notification of selection results and submission of application form
The selection results, regardless of whether you are accepted or not, will be sent to the internship contact person at your school around June 20, 2026 (Saturday). If you pass the selection process, your school will be required to submit the internship acceptance application form (Form 2) collectively using the designated form.
