Lion Bus

Lion Bus began operation in May 1964 as the world's first "safari-style" exhibit, with buses carrying people traveling through Lion enclosures.
The vehicle travels with horse meat attached to the sides, so if Lion approaches to eat it, you can observe Lion up close.

Ticketing time	9:30am (ends when sold out) Tickets purchased at the ticket counter are only valid on the day of purchase. Time changes and refunds are not possible after tickets have been issued (except in the event of service suspension).

Online tickets will be sold on weekends and holidays, when high volumes are expected.

Tickets can be purchased from one week before your planned visit until 9:15am on the day of your visit.

After 9:16 on the day of your visit, please purchase your ticket directly at Lion Bus Station inside the park after it opens.

Precautions

Please note that we may ask you to present identification or other proof of age to verify your age.

The time-designated system allows you to purchase a ticket for the time you wish to travel.

Each vehicle can accommodate up to 25 passengers.

Please purchase a timed ticket and arrive at the Lion Bus stop 5 minutes before the designated time.

Seats cannot be reserved.
Local staff will guide you.

The operating interval may change due to weather or other reasons.

There are no discounts for various types of notebooks.

Shuttle bus

It has been operating since 1992 as a free shuttle bus that runs within Tama Zoo, which is located in the undulating terrain of the Tama Hills.
The current train cars are numbered 1, 2, and 3, and are color-coded, with each car featuring an elephant, Lion, orangutan, etc.
Please feel free to use it.

Operation route	In front of Siberian Crane House, in front of Greater One-horned Rhinoceros House, in front of the Orangutan House, The bus runs in a circular route in front of Animal Cenotaph, the Asian Plains, and Siberian Crane House.
Operating hours	10:00-15:50

Precautions

In the event of bad weather, service may be temporarily suspended.

When the bus is crowded, the boarding point and route may be changed or the service may be suspended.

Reserved seats

Two seats are available for elderly and disabled people.
If you would like to use this service, please ask a staff member or driver.

For safety reasons, standing passengers are not permitted on the shuttle bus, so an accompanying person may be required.
