Pre-learning materials and materials to use on the day of your visit
In order to have a fun and discoverable observation, it is important to have a clear perspective when looking at animals. To support such observation, we lend and provide teaching materials according to grade level and observation course.
Please use educational materials that are appropriate for the purpose of your visit. There are pre-learning materials to be used at school before your visit, and materials to be used after you arrive at the zoo. These materials cannot be used together as they may confuse children's perspectives.
Pre-learning materials
Pre-learning materials
These educational materials are designed to help children develop a perspective on animals while playing with their teachers at school before going to the zoo. They can develop a concrete image of what elephant poop is like, such as, "Wow, elephant poop is huge! I can't wait to see it!" Each set includes items such as a life-size model and real poop.

Animal Quiz
Animal Quiz
Mainly for elementary schools
All you need to do in advance is to confirm the tour route. On the day, children will discover the characteristics of animals by answering quizzes while watching them. No prior knowledge is necessary. Instruct children to watch the animals and have them tell them the answers to the quizzes. Children can also enjoy this activity on their own when working in groups.
The original quiz and explanations will be provided during the field survey. Please print out additional copies so that each child has one. Each area contains 7-8 questions, so teachers can adjust the number of questions accordingly. The guideline is 5-6 questions per hour. Depending on the location and movements of the animals, it may take some time to find the answers.
