Animals and Zoos
Summer 2025 issue (No.739)
In 2024, two Giraffe from Tama Zoo departed for Indonesia.
In this issue, we bring you a behind-the-scenes look at this massive migration through a report from the zookeepers.
We will also introduce the efforts made by Hitachi City Kamine Zoo to successfully measure the weight of Hippopotamus, as well as Koala conservation activities promoted by the WWF in Australia.
Furthermore, in the essay corner "Humans Talk About Animals," we received a contribution from Masaaki Hirai of the comedy duo "Dansei Buranko."
