Tokyo Friends of the Zoo

Animals and Zoos
Fall 2022 issue (No.728)

We will introduce the past and present of Giant Panda at Ueno Zoo, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary since arriving at the zoo on October 28, 2022.
The cover features twins Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei.
The breeding report covers the birth and growth of the twin pandas, as well as the nutritional management efforts being made for Chimpanzee at Tama Zoo.
We will also be bringing you a variety of information this time, including research into the shrike's habit of "fast feeding."
