Tokyo Friends of the Zoo

Animals and Zoos
Summer 2022 issue (No.727)

In this breeding report, we will introduce the efforts being made to naturally breed Red-headed Wood Pigeon at Tama Zoo.
We will also introduce the behind-the-scenes story of the special exhibit "Ikimono Magica," which will fully open at Tokyo Sea Life Park in July 2022, from conception to completion.
We will also be bringing you articles on the breeding ecology of the spectacled guillemot, which is being investigated on Teuri Island in Hokkaido, and the Hakone salamander, a species of which new species have been discovered in recent years.
